Alan K. Bristol went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 4, 2007, at the age of 91. He was born to Hiram and Margaret Bristol in Flint, Mich., in 1916. He attended elementary school in Lewistown and graduated from Fergus County High School.

Alan worked as a combination man for Mountain Bell for 40 years. After retiring in 1979, he enjoyed camping and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jack; and sister, Betty.
Alan is survived by his wife, Laura, and her children, which Alan considered his own: Joe Hupka of Bozeman, Helen (Dan) Walker of Billings, Myles (Barb) Hupka of Huntley. He is also survived by grandson, Jody (Rachel) Hupka of Manhattan, and Shad (Tessa) Hupka of Billings; and four great-grandchildren.
Surviving from a previous marriage are sons, Jack (Gayle) Bristol of Livingston, Alan Bristol of Boise, Idaho, and David (Nancy) Bristol of Bozeman; daughter, Diane Bristol of Livingston; and their children and grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, at Grace Bible Church in Bozeman. Private graveside service will be held in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
Memorials in his name may be made to the Grace Bible Church Building Fund, 3625 S. 19th, Bozeman 59718; or to a charity of choice.
