Albert W. Wegner passed away at the age of 88 on July 13, 2013 at Homeland, Calif. He was born Aug. 27, 1924, in Pontiac, Mich., and lived in Michigan, Montana, and California. He graduated from Almont High School in 1942.

Albert enjoyed a variety of careers throughout his life, including home dairy delivery, warehouse security, automotive servicing, creamery operation, commercial foodservice delivery, and ownership of the Frontier Club.
His adventurous spirit took him from Michigan to the Wild West of Montana. Albert is best remembered for his love of the outdoors; he found happiness in hunting, fishing, camping, gardening and spending time in the mountains.
Albert leaves behind Eleanor (Parks), his wife of nearly 65 years, and four daughters, Rory (Russ) Davis of Vassar, Mich.; Renea (Douglas) Arnold of Lake Oswego, Ore.; Michelle (Lance) Clark of Moreno Valley, Calif.; and Kimme Wegner (Steve Taylor) of Huntington Beach, Calif. Albert was blessed with six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his older brother, Gordon Wegner, of Macomb Township, Mich.
At the time of his passing, Albert was surrounded by the love of his family. At his request, Albert's ashes will be spread in the Gravelly Mountain Range of Montana.
