Albert Fiore Peccia peacefully passed away in the afternoon of Dec. 6th with three of his daughters at his side.

"Al" was born Dec. 10, 1926, in Cantalupo, Italy, to Angelo Felix and Mary Lousia (Cutone) Peccia. In June of 1929, Al, three siblings and his Mother boarded a ship and came to the U.S. They joined Felix who had arrived earlier. The family settled in Harlowton, Montana, where Al's Father was employed by the Milwaukee Rail Road. Al attended Harlowton schools until 1944. He decided to join the Navy in September of 1944. In December of 44', he turned 18 as he was being deployed to the South Pacific war front as a Motor Machinist's Mate on his first LCI - the USS LCI (L) 332. He was honorably discharged in 1946 with three war metals. Al attended the Coyne Electrical School in Chicago in the studies of electrical, refrigeration/air conditioning. He graduated in 1947. Later in his life, he started his own small business "Al's Refrigeration & Air Conditioning". His next stop was in Three Forks, Montana, where he hired on as a trainman with the Milwaukee Rail Road. He married Zelda Thain in 1949. Four children were born from this union. Al and Zelda later divorced. Al married Janice Aanenson in March of 1970. Her four children were added to the family. Al hired onto the Burlington Northern Rail Road shortly after the Milwaukee Rail Road shut down around 1981. He, Janice and two of the youngest children moved to Dayton, Wyoming. In December of 1991, Al retired from the rail road. He and Janice moved to Manhattan, Montana, in 1992. In retirement, Al's hobbies were fishing, his garden and lawn. Many enjoyed the vegetables from his garden. Al is survived by children: Anna Lanette Lucas (Chuck), Sondra Peccia, Jewel Peccia Larsen (Bob), Rick Peccia, Rob Aanenson (Nikki), Randy Aanenson, Jo Lynn Aanenson Kerr (Barney), and Darcy Aanenson; as well, as Sister-in-law Bobbie Peccia, 11 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews. Al is preceded in death by his parents, siblings Tony and Mayme Peccia, Jim and Ruby Peccia, Edythe and Les Hines, and Roland (Bill) Peccia. At Al's request, there will be no services. He will be buried in Harlowton, Montana, beside other deceased family members. The family wishes to thank the Manhattan Senior Center, Hospice and his friends and neighbors for their friendship and care. Donations may be made to the Manhattan Senior Center, Hospice of Bozeman Deaconess, or to the donor's choice.
