Our mother Alice Mae (Henderson) Dudley went home to Glory Land on Oct. 21, 2016.

She was born June 27, 1936 in Miami, Arizona to Charles and Nina (Minor) Henderson.

She attended Globe High School in Globe, Arizona. She married James Dudley on April 15, 1957 in Bozeman, Montana. They lived in West Yellowstone, Wilsall, Bozeman, Belgrade, Helena and Three Forks.

She was a very ambitious woman. She worked hard to raise six children and meet all needs that were needed. Alice was not afraid of working. Her integrity spread wildly and her contagious out going loving, caring person. She never lacked a comment that she wanted to say. You would either laugh, cry or get mad, but that was mother.

While living at Gallatin County Rest Home mom was the "Hall Monitor." Mom always looked out for all the residents and if they needed help she made sure that they got help. Everyone and the children thought mom was a hoot.

Mom enjoyed bingo, singing, arts and crafts, crocheting, playing the keyboard by ear and quilting. What gave mom pride were all her grandkids and great-grandkids. They were a love to her that no one could explain. She loved watching them grow from infants to young adults. Some called her Grandma and GG Alice and loved her to the moon.

The family would like to thank the Gallatin County Rest Home and Hospice staff for their kindness, gentleness, goodness and love they showed our mom, Alice M. Dudley.

She is survived by her daughters; Corrine "Kathy" Bailey, (Scott Yanker, James, Michael, and Andrew Bailey), Christine E. Christiansen (John Christiansen, Phillip Dudley, and Nina M. Biggs (Calvin Madison and Dustyn Biggs). Also surviving are her sons; James C. Dudley (Lynsie, Jayme, and Kurt) and Leonard Louis Dudley; and sister in-laws, Donna Flohr and Judy Miller. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 30 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband; James L. Dudley; daughter, Colleen I. Willoughby; mother, Nina M. Minor; father, Charles C. Henderson; sister, Georgeann Sargent; brothers, Bud Henderson and Walter Henderson; mother in-law Sylvia Dudley; granddaughter, Jennifer M. Dworshak; and great-grandson Cody D. Barnett.

Alice "Mom" Mae will be missed by all who knew her and mostly the legacy she left with her five children.

A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, Oct. 26 at 2 p.m. at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
