Allen Brown, 45, of Manhattan passed away March 20, 2009, of a heart attack. He was born to Eursie and Cartie Brown on Oct. 5, 1963, at Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C.
The Guest Book is expired.
On Nov. 3, 1984, he married Betty Visser in Churchill. He was a proud father of two: a daughter, Jennifier, and a son, Albert Brown, and both are still living in the valley. In 1990, he moved to Manhattan and resided there until his death.
He was an active hunter and a jack-of-all-trades - logger, truck driver, horse trainer, wildland firefighter, mechanic, and you name it he did it. His pastime was spent four-wheeling, snowmobiling, and being in the mountains where he was closer to God.
Allen is survived by his wife, Betty of 24 years; children; Jennifier and Albert; mother, Cartie Brown; two sisters, Jody (Rick) Hickmen and Chelle Brown; brother, Tony (Yvette) Brown; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eursie Brown; his grandmother, Jean Pitman; and Grandpa and Grandma Sisk.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at the Manhattan Senior Center, with fellowship to follow.
