Alverda Suzanne (Kerr) Oakes, 77 years old, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on March 9, 2016, following surgery. Alverda was born in Doylestown, Pennsylvania, to Earl and Alverda Blanche Kerr on Nov. 17, 1938. She was the middle of three children, and preceded in death by her older brother Floyd Kerr and is survived by her younger brother Richard (Nancy) Kerr of Frenchtown, New Jersey. Alverda married the love of her life Elmer Louis Oakes on July 2, 1960. The couple was blessed with five children. Louis (Danelle) Oakes, Michael (Cindi) Oakes, James (Darla) Oakes, Jane Oakes and Peter (Melissa) Oakes. Alverda's greatest joy was found in the faces of her 21 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Elmer, an amazing husband, father and grandfather preceded Alverda in death on July 15, 2001. Alverda has left behind family and cherished friends, that she valued and loved dearly!

Please join us for a memorial service at Three Forks Bible Church on March 19, 2016, at 1 p.m. followed by a graveside service at the Willow Creek Cemetery. There will be a time of light refreshments, remembrance and celebration of Alverda's life at 3:30 p.m. in the reception hall of Three Forks Bible Church.
