At the age of 47, Alvin Richard Kuhn died March 12, 2007, in Billings, as a result of an automobile accident. He was born July 4, 1959, in Kalispell, the son of Richard and Irene (Jerome) Kuhn. He was raised in Bozeman and Livingston, graduating from Bozeman High School in 1977. He moved to Billings in January 2005.

Alvin worked construction installing floor coverings most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, camping and was an avid bowler. He loved his family, especially his nieces and nephews.
Alvin is survived by his father, Richard of Billings; sister, Janice Kuhn of Helena; half-sisters, Iris Jerome of Billings, Alberta (Jeff) Manly of Polson; half-brothers, Marvin and Bill Holler, both of Manhattan; many nieces and nephews, including Melissa (David) Poole of Vicenza, Italy, Joshua Horner of Bozeman, Kami Horner and Kianna Weiss, both of Helena, Robert Johnson of Billings; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene Kuhn; stepmother, Connie Kuhn; half-sister, Phyllis Halverson; and grandparents.
Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Billings. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with funeral services at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 17, both at Dahl Funeral Chapel in Bozeman. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman. Immediately following Alvin's interment, friends are invited to join the family for a potluck luncheon at the Lindley Park Center.
