Andrea G. (Burnett) Gossett, 38, passed away April 2, 2007, from complications due to a stroke.
Andrea was born May 31, 1968, in Ogden, Utah, to Keith and Marlene (Payne) Burnett, one of six children born into a loving home. She attended schools in Ogden and Roy, Utah, graduating from Roy High School in 1986. She attended Weber State University where she majored in physics.
Andrea was a faithful and devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She held various church callings in the primary, young women's organization and relief society. She had great joy in those callings and especially loved the children she taught. Her testimony in the gospel of Jesus Christ was unwavering, sharing her strong faith and devotion with others. She was a member of the L.D.S. Institute Chorale, where she shared her love of singing with others.
She met her eternal companion, Bill Gossett, while a member of the Chorale. They were married on Dec. 17, 1988, in the Logan, Utah, L.D.S. Temple. They were blessed with three beautiful children: Kyle, Brad, and Jordan.
Andrea and Bill lived in Layton, Uintah and Riverdale, Utah. In 2004, they moved to Gallatin Gateway.
Andrea was a loving wife and mother who would do anything for her family and friends. She had a friendly and kind spirit that would draw others to her.
The family wishes to express a sincere thanks to the ICU staff at Bozeman Deaconess Hospital for their thoughtfulness and care during this difficult time.
Andrea was preceded in death by one brother, Marvin Jay Burnett.
She is survived by her husband, Bill; sons, Kyle and Brad, and daughter, Jordan, all of Gallatin Gateway. She is also survived by her parents, Keith and Marlene Burnett of Roy, Utah; brothers, Phil (Susan) Burnett of North Ogden, Utah, Kent (Suzanne) Burnett of North Albany, Ore.; sisters, Beverly (Spencer) Zaugg of Billings, and Kristin (Brett) McInelly of Spanish Fork, Utah.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 7, at the Bozeman L.D.S. Stake Center, 2915 Colter Ave. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6, at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service, 113 S. Willson Ave., Bozeman, and for one hour at the Stake Center prior to Saturday's service. Interment will be in Salesville Cemetery, Gallatin Gateway.
