The life of Belva Hyman ended Aug. 26, 2015, at the age of 95. Her life focused primarily on family and friends, providing a role model of courage and constant love to them and to others whose lives she touched.
The Guest Book is expired.
Her family will have a private celebration of her life.
Born May 11, 1920, to Carl and Blanche (Tolliver) Holm in Springfield, Oregon, she was the oldest of three children. Belva married Kenneth Hyman on Oct. 16, 1954, in Omaha, Nebraska. Their life together lasted 54 years. They called Beatrice, Nebraska, their home until her husband's passing in 2009. Belva moved to Bozeman, in 2009.
Belva was the mother of four children: David, Janis, Julie, and Kenneth. She was a stay-at-home mother while they were young, but her influence went beyond the home. She lived a full life leaving her mark in the neighborhood, Church of Christ, her extended family, and dear friends near and far.
Belva's last days were good ones with tender care at Spring Meadows in Bozeman. She expressed gratitude to others numerous times every day. Her smile and gentle ways were precious to people around her.
Her passing leaves many who will miss her greatly. Among them, her son, David McMillan and wife, Lynn, of Cottage Grove, Oregon; daughters, Janis DiBerardinis and husband, Pete, of Bozeman and Julie Hautzenroder of Blue Springs, Nebraska; and 10 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Kenneth L.; and son, Kenneth C.
What we have once enjoyed, we can never lose. All that we love deeply becomes part of us.
