Betty Jane Tocci, age 85, of Three Forks, passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, March 16, 2016, with her family present.

Betty was born Sept. 14, 1930, in Harrison, Montana, to James and Helen (McCall) Carter. She attended school at Pony, Waterloo and Willow Creek. She played on the girls' basketball team and was also a cheerleader.

She married her true love Raymond P. Tocci on July 17, 1947, in Three Forks, Montana. Betty and Raymond ranched in Willow Creek from 1947 to 1969. Together they raised ten rambunctious children. In 1972 the T-T Insurance Agency opened in Three Forks and Betty followed Raymond into the insurance/real estate business and became the office manager and the "go-to lady". Betty and Ray took up the hobby of aviation. They flew around the state making many new friends.

She was the heart of the Tocci family, facing each new challenge as an adventure in life. Betty followed her children's sporting careers making sure that she was there rooting them on. She was the quintessential "sports mom". She was also a wonderful grandmother, great grandmother, mother-in-law and friend to many.

Betty is preceded in death by her husband Raymond, her parents, son Rodney Paul Tocci, grandson Peter J. Tocci, granddaughter Emily Balich, brother Monte Parker and son-in-law Lyle Whitmore. Survivors include sisters Judy (Mick) Jackson and Peggy (Ralph) Frame, seven sons Larry (Beth), Mark (Brenda), Knute (Sandy), Bruce (Tina), Randy (Tracey), Scott (Julie), Chris (Paula) and two daughters, Susan (Jack) Campbell and Pam Whitmore, 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
