Betty June Stevens, 68, of Belgrade passed away March 18, 2008, at the Gallatin Rest Home in Bozeman after a long battle with multiple sclerosis and very recently cancer.

She was born June 17, 1939, to Henry and Bertha Heim of Elgin, N.D.
She met her husband, Lee, in the mid '60s in Tacoma, Wash. They married on June 3, 1967.
She moved to Montana in 1979 and helped to run the Red Baron Drive In until 1993 when she was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis.
Betty was a kind and caring person to all that she came into contact with, and a mother to all. She made many friends with the residents and staff at the rest home. She enjoyed being with her family and friends, and most especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her two sons, Darrin (Cindy) Stevens of Belgrade, and Jason (Sarah) Stevens of Meridian, Idaho. She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Kelsey, Tanner and most recently Brock; two sisters, Violet Saunders of Tacoma, Wash., and Gertrude Permann of Mesquite, Nev.; one brother, James Heim of Butte; and Don Sondrol, brother in law, of Turtle Lake, N.D.; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, and her sister, Norma.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 22, at Sunset Memorial Park, Belgrade. Visitation hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.
