Billy C Ford, 88, of Bozeman passed away on Nov. 8, 2009. He was born near Belgrade on Jan. 24, 1921, to Clarence and Hazel (Pitman) Ford. He graduated from Belgrade High School in 1939.

He married Ethel Mae Sales in Belgrade on April 25, 1942.
He managed a service station in Belgrade before starting work at the State Highway Department in 1948. While there he worked as a mechanic and welder before becoming the shop supervisor prior to retiring in 1978.
He was active in community sports, playing softball, hardball and bowling. He was an avid snowmobiler, boater and fisherman, as well as a seasoned hunter. He was a state champion at horseshoes. He and Ethel traveled to all 50 states, Canada, Mexico, and several countries in Europe.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel; two sons, Dean (Gail) of Pinehurst, N.C., and Doug of Bozeman; a sister, Betty Reed of Bozeman; three grandchildren, Richard Ford of Portland, Ore., Karen (Pete) Terzo of Salem, Ore., and Keely (Don) Holmes of Belgrade; and five great-grandchildren, Shaun, Tyler, Brandon, Autumn, and Madison.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 13, at Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
