Bob Collins

  • "It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved..."
  • "Condolences. May your heart be comforted and strengthened..."
  • "May the God of comfort be with you at this time"

Robert C. "Bob" Collins was born July 24, 1939, to Robert and Helen Collins in Klamath Falls, Oregon. This union was blessed with three other children, Jim Collins (deceased), Roberta Daniel (Gary) of Savannah, Georgia, and Donna Sorenson (deceased). Bob went to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Oct. 28, 2016.

Bob met Kay Miller in July of 1960 and they were married on Nov. 18, 1960. This union was blessed with two children, Debora Kay Sauskojus (Ken) and Robert Douglas Collins (Vicki) of Bozeman. Bob enjoyed five wonderful grandchildren, DeAnna Kay Anderson (Mike) of Helena, Brett James Sauskojus, Caitlin Ann Collins, Cortney Lynn Collins and Levi Douglas Collins all of Bozeman. Two great-grandchildren, Lillian Kay and Alec James Anderson of Helena, were also of great enjoyment to Bob.

Bob lived in California until 1958 when he and his brother moved to Strasburg, Colorado, to live with relatives. He, Kay and the kids lived in Denver. In 1978, Bob decided to move his family to Bozeman, Montana, for the beauty of the mountains close to town, with easy access to hunting, fishing and much less traffic. His lifetime work was primarily in retail sales and the lumbermill.

Bob was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He loved the great outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing and camping.

A Celebration of Life for Bob will be held at Grace Bible Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 12.
