Chas C. Dearden, 77, was finally released from the crippling effects of Parkinson's disease on Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, passing peacefully in his sleep. A tremendous fighter in a deviously unfair match he managed to hold the disease at bay for over 17 years. He now rests.

Chas was born on Dec. 29, 1937, in Morristown, New Jersey, to Frank and Winifred Dearden. He married Carol Neill on July 2, 1977, in Stanford, Montana.
Chas is preceded in death by his parents, his oldest son, Charles C. Dearden, Jr., and grandson, Brian Thacker, Jr. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Carol, seven children: Cheryl Dearden, San Diego; Debby Dearden, Lake Oswego, Oregon; Martin Dearden, Plattsmouth, Nebraska; Cliff Dearden, Bozeman; Rebekah Dearden, Madison Heights, Virginia; Shaun Dearden, Lynchburg, Virginia; Heather Johnson, Huddleston, Virginia; daughter-in-law Rhonda Hanna; thirteen grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; sister, Peggie Dearden, Tucson, Arizona; brother, Frank H. Dearden, Jr., Baltimore, Maryland.
Cremation has already taken place. A Remembrance Reception will be held at Valley View Golf Club, 302 E. Kagy, Bozeman, MT on Saturday, Nov. 14, 2015, at 2 p.m.
