On June 27, 2010, many lost a great friend to a heart attack in Three Forks.
The Guest Book is expired.
Most folks who knew Clark remember him for his fondness to learn new things and to pass on his knowledge to others. Clark had a kind way about him – smiles and laughter were always at the ready. Clark was always up to something, finding ways to supplement what he referred to as "his welfare check" (Social Security); building picnic tables for local kids, selling pollywogs or coming up with ways to hit that big vein of gold which was one of his lifelong dreams.
Clark came to this area in search of adventures and he found many! He spent years in the mountains that he loved, logging until he retired to pursue his dreams. Though not many of us really knew Clark in his earlier years, we all considered him family. Thank you, Clark; for sharing your sense of wonder, adventure and uncanny ability to put us all at ease when we encountered challenges in our lives. Thank you so much for always having a smile on your face and your laughter at everything in life. We miss you!
To celebrate Clark's life we will have a potluck at the ranch, located one mile south off the Milligan Canyon exit on Saturday, Aug. 21, from 1 to 5 p.m. All are welcome to join. Please contact Rhonda Buckallew at 595-9117 for directions, if needed, and information about which dish to bring.
At the risk of being "socially unacceptable," we will be collecting named donations to raise funds to pay for Clark's ashes that are being held by the county, so that he can be interned at "The Ranch" he so enjoyed.
