Dale N. McAfee, 84, of White Sulphur Springs passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008, at St. Peter's Hospital. Dale was born Oct. 4, 1923, to Montie and Alma (McDonald) McAfee at White Sulphur Springs. Dale attended and graduated from White Sulphur Springs High School.

Dale served in the U.S. Army, receiving his honorable discharge in 1945. After his time in the U.S. Army, he lived in New York City for 10 years working in restaurants, moving to Los Angeles to manage a catering and gift shop for 20 years. In 1984, Dale returned to White Sulphur Springs. He owned and operated a bed and breakfast known as the Columns.
He was a member of the Meagher County Historical Society, White Sulphur Springs Senior Citizen, and a docent for the Bair Museum.
Dale was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Carol Wilkerson.
He is survived by his brother, Kenneth (Millie) McAfee of Bozeman; sister, Edie Thompson of Laurel; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, May 30, at Yoked Parish Lutheran Church, Fourth and Jefferson, with the Rev. Brenda McLellan officiating.
