Dan Gochanour, 57, passed away at home after a long illness, on May 4, 2014.

He was born to Marlin and Doris Gochanour on March 27, 1957. Dan had many jobs. His last job before becoming ill was at the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter. He loved working with the animals. He also loved to go fishing, camping, and taking road trips. He was a huge Packer fan and was honored when the Green Bay Packers sent him a care package and a card autographed by Aaron Rogers.
Dan is survived by his best friend, Penny Frank; son, Justin Weigelt of St. Cloud, Minn.; brother, Rick Gochanour of Anaconda, uncle and aunt John and Sherol Davis and cousin, Kevin Davis, all of East Helena.
He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, and his dog, Ruger.
Dan you are now fishing with Ruger free of pain. I love you and you will always be in my heart.
In lieu of flowers make a donation to the Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter or a
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Saturday, May 10, at 2 p.m. from the Christian Center at Three Forks with Rev. Charlie Christensen officiating.
