Debra Lynn Thompson passed away in Bozeman on Sept. 27, 2010, due to multiple sclerosis. She was born on Jan. 24, 1948, in San Jose, Calif.

A songwriting, tap-dancing, sun-loving spiritual seeker, teacher and friend, her greatest gift was making people laugh. After moving to Montana, she was an active member of The Community Food Co-op and worked as assistant operations director at Heart of the Valley Animal Shelter.

She is survived by her father, Rodney Dean Thompson and his wife, Edith of Chico, Calif.

Memorials in her honor may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA), or to Heart of the Valley.
