Dennis Lee Fry, 64, went to be with the Lord he dearly loved on March 4, 2008. Dennis was born Nov. 19, 1943, in Billings to Guy and Lorraine Fry.

He received his education through first grade in Bozeman; second grade through junior high in Conrad; high school in Fort Benton, graduating from Fort Benton High School in 1962. He went on to receive a bachelor's in education from The University of Montana and a master's in administration from Montana State University.
Dennis was very athletic, playing football, basketball and setting state records in track during his high school years He went on to attend The University of Montana on a full-ride track scholarship. He was also very musical, singing on the radio as early as 3 years of age and continuing to encourage others with his beautiful voice and music in his adult years.
He spent the majority of his adult life in education in Montana, except for a brief time in Illinois. Dennis taught for many years in Wilsall and after receiving his master's degree, he went on to serve as superintendent in Rosebud, Hobson and Harrison. Dennis retired from education in 1997, moving to the Denver area. During his years of teaching in Wilsall, he drove delivery truck for Wilcoxin's Ice Cream into Yellowstone Park for nine years during the summer months.
On June 10, 1989, Dennis married the love of his life -- Lillian -- who he had met during his high school years in Fort Benton.
In addition to his wife, Lillian, Dennis is survived by sons, Christopher (Marilyn) Fry and Nate (Chelle) Fry; step-children (whom he considered as his own), Vance Dostal, Kim Dostal, and Ronda (Anthony) Adams; grandchildren, Emily Johnson, Katie (Ross) Brunk, Natalie Fry, Jessica Dostal, Brittany Dostal, James Fry, Hannah Fry; great-grandson, Gypsy Johnson; brothers, David (Adrienne) Fry, Stan (Deana) Fry; sisters, Cheryll (Tim) Cain, Nancy (Ed) Nollmeyer, Beverly (Bryan) Hughes; sisters-in law, Linda Kline, and Marilyn (Rick) Beisel; brother-in-law, Bill (Dina) Kline; many nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Lorraine Fry; mother-in-law, Helen Jacobsen; and brother-in-law, Bob Kline.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 29, at Grace Bible Church, 3625 S. 19th Ave., Bozeman.
