Dick Pinkerton passed away Feb. 10, 2012 in Phoenix, Ariz. He was born in Bozeman on Feb. 25, 1928 to Clarence and Mary Pinkerton.

He attended local schools and graduated from Gallatin County High School. Rodeoing was a passion of his and he participated in many rodeos statewide.
He served in the Korean War, after which he started training horses in Arizona, California, and Texas.
He is survived by his daughter, Katey Rieman, her husband, four grandchildren, sister, Dorothy Aasheim; nephews, Larry and Ron Aasheim, and Steve Phillips.
Graveside services were at the National Memorial Cemetery in Arizona.
