Don was born in Bozeman, Mont. on May 4, 1929, to Thomas and Tennette Genty. He served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953, graduated with a B.A. from Carroll College in 1957, and an MBA from the University of Denver in 1961. Don worked for 21 years at CSU Pueblo in various finance, accounting and administrative roles retiring in 1991. He was on the board of directors of SunWest Credit Union and his homeowner's association and was a member of the Elks Lodge. Don's passion for sports was second only to his passion for family. Family always came first. He had the highest of values, unwavering integrity and was a genuine role model and true gentleman. He and Joyce enjoyed traveling, seeing the U.S. and other parts of the world. His children and grandchildren loved sitting around the dinner table listening to him tell stories of his childhood and life. We will dearly miss him and will always remember him fondly.
