Dorothy Helen (Dixon) Ary, 92, of Gallatin Gateway and Southern California died Saturday, May 8, 2010, at her winter residence in Tustin, Calif.

Funeral services were held May 21 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church in Tustin.
A memorial service and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at Sunset Hills Cemetery in Bozeman.
Dorothy was born on Nov. 11, 1917, to John Arthur and Charlotte Dixon in Harvard, Neb. When Dorothy was a child, her family moved to Bozeman where her father began his paint business on Tracy Avenue. She was one of seven children. She attended Holy Rosary High School in Bozeman and Montana State University.
She moved to Los Angeles to get married and have a family, but maintained a summer residence in the Gallatin Canyon. She loved reading, knitting, gardening, Montana wildflowers and spending time with her family. She will be missed beyond words.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Lawrence, Don, Ralph and Jerry Dixon; as well as her sister, Bunny (Dixon) Dahl.
She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Avon Ary; her five children: Kathy (Marty) Breen, Dick (Jerrie) Ary, Eileen (Miguel) Quintero, Pat (Jim) Carter, and Kevin (M'Lisa) Ary; brother, Bob Dixon of Bozeman; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
