Doug C. Berg, 67, of Bozeman, formerly of Kandiyohi, Minn., died Friday near Fargo, N.D. His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Tripolis Lutheran Church, rural Kandiyohi. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Doug was born on May 3, 1941, in Willmar, Minn., the son of Carlton and Amy (Mattson) Berg. He attended country school, Whittier Elementary School in Kandiyohi and graduated from Willmar High School in 1959.
In 1960, he was united in marriage to Betty Butters, and this marriage was blessed with two children, Linda and Larry. Beginning after high school, Doug worked for All State Hatchery in Willmar.
In 1975, Doug was united in marriage to Judi (Rue) Roush and adopted her three children, Todd, Timothy and Michelle. This marriage was blessed with the addition of Melissa.
Doug became an over-the-road truck driver for Sammons Trucking of Missoula. During his 30 years of driving, Doug logged more than 4 million miles before retiring in 2006. After staying home and doing the entire to-do list that was not done while he was trucking, Doug returned to trucking in September 2008, driving for Hick's Trucking of Litchfield.
He was baptized and confirmed at Tripolis Lutheran Church where he was still a member. His family remembers his enjoyment of his grandchildren, being home after retiring the first time, spending time with Judi and his gardening.
Surviving are his wife, Judi of Bozeman; children, Todd (Karen) Berg of Belgrade, Linda (Tom) Beall of Middletown, R.I., Larry Berg of Willmar, Minn., Michelle (Dave) Wagenman of Livingston, Melissa (Larry) Tallman of Belgrade; nine grandchildren, Jamie, Todd Jr., Terence, Natasha, Brittney, Buddy, Megan, Kelsey, Abbey; and three great-grandchildren, Brandon, Alex and Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Timothy; sister, Mary deCathelineau; and brother, Cal.
