The Guest Book is expired.

The Lord has opened the gates for one more angel to enter his heavenly kingdom.

Eleanor Frances Vollmer McCormick, 83, formerly of Butte, received her wings on Sept. 25, 2007, in Arizona.

Her kind heart, warm smile and genuine good spirit will be sadly missed here on earth, but she is now able to join those who have preceded her and celebrate in union with Christ.

Eleanor was married for 57 years to Michael L. McCormick, who preceded her in death in 2003. She was the CEO of the McCormick household and family of nine children: Jerry, Larry, Tom, Kaye, Sheila, Pat, Julie, Cathie and Linda.

Her greatest joys included time with her 20 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and shopping for each of them. She was a longtime staff member of the Madison School district and will be missed by her many cherished friends throughout the community.

We are all better for having had "Granny" in our lives.

A memorial service was held Thursday, Sept. 27, at Heritage Funeral Chapel, 6830 W. Thunderbird Road, Peoria, Ariz.

Memorials in her name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
