The Guest Book is expired.

Elena Madeline Lovas (Santacroce) gently passed to meet her savior Jesus Christ the morning of Aug. 22, 2016.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1914, she is predeceased by her parents, Constantine and Edvige Santacroce; by her brothers, Joseph (Pep) and David (Dolly); by her sisters, Margaret, Mary and Constance; and by her husband, Joseph John Lovas.

She is survived by her sons. Joseph Lovas and Paul Lovas; five grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A full life intact with recollections on most every moment, she had the privilege meeting a modern day saint, Saint Pope John Paul II, on a pilgrimage to Rome. After her husband passed in 1977, she donated her time and talents to St. Luke's Catholic Church.

Visits with her were nearly always memorable and no one was left unscathed. Living, somewhere between a contemplative and a reactionary life, she was a plinth to our family. And live she did.

A Funeral Mass for Madeline will be held at noon on Wednesday at St. John Vianney Parish in Belgrade.

Condolences and memories may be shared with the family at www.dahlcares.com.
