Ethel Ruby Sievert Wendell, 99, passed away June 4, 2012 in Bozeman. She was born Dec. 27, 1912 in the Horse Shoe Hills, in a home built by her father, Rosco Prather.

Ethel was much loved and respected by family and friends. She was a wonderful cook, and loved her yard and flowers. Dancing and reading were her two most favorite activities. When younger, she loved horseback riding, camping, and traveling.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rosco and Ruby (Harbison) Prather; husband, Cecil Louis Sievert, and husband, Ted Wendell; four sisters, and two brothers.
She is survived by her two children, Cecil Jack Sievert and Helen June Kallestad; six grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Friday, June 8, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Dokken-Nelson. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 9, at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel. Interment will follow in Sunset Hills Cemetery.
