Floyd C. Poe, 90, of Radersburg passed away Jan. 20, 2009, at his residence. Floyd was born on the family homestead to Bud and Martha (Maxwell) Poe.

During his school years, Floyd participated in 4-H and had the opportunity to travel to Chicago with the club. After school he assumed the responsibilities of the family ranch. He tended to a small herd of registered Shorthorn cattle.
Over the years Floyd developed a fierce independence that was admirable. His joys in life were raising animals and giving those he loved a hard time.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lawrence Poe; half-brother Elisha Poe; niece and husband; Helen and Ralph Dupea.
Floyd is survived by his sister; Adaline Corbett of Helena; nephews, Allan (Jane) Damuth of Townsend, and Lloyd (Donna) Poe of Cut Bank; nieces, Jurenne (late Donald) Fuchs of Townsend, Coy (Ken) McHenry of Chinook, Linda (Darrell) Hafner of Helena, Don (Chele) Damuth of Rapid City, S.D.; and many great-nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, at Connors Funeral Home in Townsend, with graveside rites following at Radersburg Cemetery.
Donations in Floyd's name may be made to the Townsend Senior Center, or to a charity of your choice.
