Francis Patrick Flynn passed away on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 49. The son of Francis J. and Carol A. Flynn, he was born on Sept. 16, 1963 in Springfield, Mass. The family relocated to Atwater, Calif. in 1972.

Frank was raised in Atwater, Calif. but his heart lead him to Montana. Each morning he was greeted by spectacular landscape, plentiful wildlife and a simple life. He was a rugged individualist who loved to hunt and fish. Frank lived his life on his terms and was a free spirit. With his generosity and love he touched many lives here in California and Montana.

He is survived by his large family, parents, Francis J. and Carol A. Flynn; his siblings, Debra Kyhn, John Flynn, Diane Kyhn, Eileen Flynn, Catherine Bell, and William Flynn. Frank had many aunts, uncles, nephews and nieces. He left behind his best friend, Glacier, his beloved dog.

Although he passed in the company of his family and friends here in California his heart and soul will always belong to Montana.

For Frank's love of the outdoors, a gathering at Axtel l bridge near Gallatin Gateway will be held at noon; please dress according to weather.
