Gary Michael Eastman, 48, beloved son of Isabel and Robert Eastman, passed away unexpectedly on Nov. 4, 2010, in Mesa, Ariz.

He was born Dec. 8, 1961, in Harlingen, Texas. His dad was U.S. Air Force and the family traveled a lot, eventually retiring in Great Falls. In 1979 the family moved to Bozeman.

Gary graduated from Bozeman Senior High School in 1980. He then served proudly in the U.S. Navy from 1980-2000 as a submariner and retired a chief petty officer. He worked for the U.S. Postal Service at the time of his death.

Gary loved traveling and the places he was able to visit while in the Navy. He was also an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers. Gary's loving smile, generous heart and caring soul will be greatly missed.

Gary is survived by his parents of Scottsdale, Ariz.; sisters, Patty (James) Heckman of Belgrade, Teri Eastman of Scottsdale, Ariz., Lisa (Myron) Gefroh of Scottsdale, Ariz.; daughters, Jessica (Scott Goodwin) Giles-Eastman of Elizabeth, Colo., and Crystal Giles of Castle Rock, Colo.; nieces and nephews, Molly and Sam Heckman, Makenzie Eastman-Jones, Spencer and Dakota Gefroh; grandchildren, Ashley and Michael Goodwin, Tristan Giles; and his Angel and BFF, Sue Montgomery. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles and cousins in Wisconsin and Texas.

Full military honor services were held Nov. 12 at National Memorial Cemetery in Phoenix, Ariz.
