Gary "Stewey" Stewart, 60, of Belgrade passed away Sunday, May 2, 2010.

On Nov. 22, 1949, Gary came into this world with his twin brother, Lary, in Deer Lodge.

His early years were spent in Willow Creek and Bozeman, where he graduated from high school in 1969. A short time later, he entered the Army and spent most of his time in Germany.

After the Army, Gary worked in northern Wyoming at sawmills and truck driving, then to Bozeman where he worked for Valley Interstate Texaco, Mr. T's Towing, and then opened Stewey's Sinclair on Seventh and Durston, later to work at Gallatin Field in the parking lot booth.

Gary was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill"; sister, Lue (Stewart) Miller; mother, Josephine (Rusell); brothers, James and Ordaly; and wife, Sue (Halvorson) Stewart.

Gary is survived by brothers, Neal, Lee, and Lary Stewart; stepson and daughter-in-law, Tod and Tiffaney Christensen; step-grandson, Tyler; stepdaughter, Aimee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 7, at Dahl Funeral Chapel. Interment with military rites will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery.
