Geraldine "Jerry" M. Kenney, 85, died July 12, 2009, in Mesa, Ariz.

She was born March 27, 1924, in Mobridge S.D., to Jerry and Gertrude Schlatter. She was educated in Mobridge and Deadwood, S.D., schools.
She worked many years as the principal's secretary at Bozeman Senior High School.
She and her husband, George, moved to Mesa in the early 1980s where she worked as secretary for the City of Mesa prior to retirement.
Jerry loved to spend time with her family and friends and was an avid golfer and world traveler. She traveled to Thailand less than a year ago. She wanted to see the major rivers of the world and the highlight of this was traveling to the Nile in Egypt.
Her husband. George. predeceased her on July 17, 1999.
She is survived by her son, Peter and wife, Cheryl, of Pittsfield, Mass.; sister, Evelyn Hammer of Manhattan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services were held July 17 at the Red Mountain Methodist Church in Mesa.
