Alonzo Gordon Elder, 73, died in his home in Dewey, Arizona, on May 24, 2015, after struggling with illness.

Born July 2, 1941, in Joseph, Oregon, he lived in Oregon and Washington, followed by many years in Bozeman, Montana, where he raised his family. Gordon worked in insurance until retiring in 2007 and moved to Dewey, Arizona. He spent many years training and teaching Aikido, enjoyed writing stories about the wild west, and was involved in photography and a photo club.
Gordon is survived by Marti Elder (ex-wife and best friend for 25 years); his son, Justin (Katie, daughter Lilly) Bozeman; his daughter, Casey (Pryor Jourdan) Billings. His brothers, Rick and Dennis. He was preceded in death by both of his parents, his sister M.J., and his brother Tony.
