Guy F. Rustad, 87, of Marshfield, passed away Sunday, Nov. 3, 2013 at The House Of The Dove in Marshfield, Wis. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church in Marshfield. A time of visitation will be held from noon until the time of service at the church on Thursday. Hansen-Schilling Funeral Home of Marshfield is assisting the family with arrangements.

Guy was born Aug. 13, 1926 the son of Maurice and Ila (Fraser) Rustad in High Bridge, Wis. He attended Lone Elm Grade School and graduated from Marshfield Senior High both located in Wood County, Wis. In 1944 Guy enlisted in the U.S. Army Air Corp. In 1945 until 1946 he attended Ripon College and U.W. Marshfield. On Dec. 12, 1946 Guy was united in marriage to Evelyn Gorke. The couple would have been celebrating 67 years of marriage together this December.

Mr. Rustad was employed at Roddis Plywood Corp from 1948 to 1950 as inspector and lab technician. Employed at Rollohome Corp. 1950 to 1960 as product engineer and designer. Employed at Wick BLDG Systems 1960 to 1965 as vice pres. of Kenwood Homes. Introduced the 14 Wide Mobile Home. Moved to Montana in 1975 to become pres. and G.M. of Gallatin Homes. Moved back to Marshfield in 1987 and semi retired. Worked part time at V&H Automotive for about nine years.

Guy served on the National Manufactured Housing Committee that wrote the National Construction Standards. He served on the Wisconsin and Minnesota Standards Committees. Guy also served on Montana's Manufactured Housing Association Board.

He is lovingly survived by his wife: Evelyn of Marshfield; children: Del (Beth) Rustad, Marshfield, Wis. and their children: Gerritt and Cale Rustad; Barb (Bill) Blum, Weeki Wachee, Fla., and their children: Brian Blum, and Jeff (Rachel) Blum and family; Donna Davis, Sayner, Wis., and her children: Michael Hughes and Kerri (Todd) Weberg and family; Vickie (Steve) Moreland, North Richland Hills, Texas; Robin (Rick) Miller, Bozeman, Mont., and their children: Andy and Korri Miller; Alan (Rita) Rustad, Onalaska, Wis. and their children: Faith (Nate) Estes and family, David, Karissa, Danae, Zack, Joel, Natalie, and Olivia Rustad; Penny (Steve) Kerr, Mosinee, Wis. and their children, Samantha (Chris) Mohr and family, and Melody (Scott) Murphy; and Gary Rustad, Spring Hill, Fla. He will truly be missed.

Guy is preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Ila; as well as siblings: Cary Rustad, Thelma Frey, and Keith Rustad.
