Homer Frank Mooney, 75, of Bozeman, passed away Feb. 2, 2010. He was born Feb. 5, 1934, in Weoka, Ala., to Preston and Linnie Belle (Meeks) Mooney.

Following graduation from high school, Homer served in the Army and then the Air Force during World War II. He was employed by Ashland Oil Company.
He married Barbara Newman in Columbus, Mo., in 1969, and they were later divorced.
Frank was an outdoorsman, enjoying fishing, gardening, hunting and traveling. He was well-loved for his cheerfulness and best known for his humor. He was wonderful with children, and loved animals; a very warm and friendly man. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a grandson, Mason Lopez.
Frank is survived by his daughters, Jennie Bakke, Sandra Mooney, and Angela Stephenson; and sons, Ronald Mooney and Jon Paul Griffin. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place, and memorial services will be held in Tallassee, Ala.
