Howard "Mack" Willey of Lincoln passed away April 18, 2007, at Valley Hospital in Las Vegas, Nev., after suffering heart failure. He was born to Howard and Melda Willey on May 31, 1930, in Iowa City, Iowa.

In 1946 the Willey family relocated to Bozeman, where Mack attended high school before entering the Navy, where he spent four years during the Korean conflict.
On Jan. 10, 1954, he married Marlis Eilts.
Mack was employed by Mountain Bell Telephone Co. for 28 years and worked in Glasgow, Missoula, Bozeman and Great Falls. He retired in 1984, and he and Marlis made their home in Lincoln.
His favorite pastimes were fishing, camping and traveling. He and Marlis traveled extensively during his retirement years.
Survivors are his wife, Marlis; a daughter, Janice Willey of Bozeman-Livingston; a son, Mick Willey of Lincoln; a sister, Carol Lingard of Bozeman; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date at Fort Harrison Veterans Cemetery in Helena.
