Ilene Agnes Morgan-Brissonneaud-Ehlers, 96, of Bozeman, passed away Sept. 5, 2016, in Bozeman, Montana.

Ilene was born into the homesteading Lane clan on June 7, 1920, in Philipsburg, Montana, to Josephine (Lane) and Louis Grace. She grew up around Three Forks and was the homecoming queen for the Three Forks Wolves in 1938. She attended Business College in Great Falls and met Sam Morgan after attending a dance in Three Forks. They married in 1942 and had two boys, Mike and Jim. She moved to West Yellowstone in 1956 and purchased the Dairy Queen which she ran for 23 years. After retiring, she moved back to Bozeman and married a farm boy named Henry Ehlers from Nebraska. They enjoyed 20 years of card playing, church attending, and camping with the Good Sams. She was very involved with the Senior Citizen Center in Bozeman, and enjoyed sharing the card table with business owners and bankers from around Bozeman in games of poker, bridge, and pinochle.

Ilene had a lifelong devotion to the Holy Rosary Catholic Church. She attended the 5 p.m. Saturday service for countless years and spent every Thursday getting her hair coiffed. She enjoyed spending lunches and afternoons with her youngest son Jim.

She is survived by son Jim Morgan, granddaughter Kamie (Morgan) and Logan Cochran, grandson Shawn Michael Morgan, grandson Jeremiah James Krupich, granddaughter KC Morgan, and great-grandchildren Kaydence Ann Morgan, Brodie Michael Aakre, and Bentley Stanley Aakre of Fergus Falls, Minnesota. She is predeceased by grandson Kelly Lane Morgan. Her friend Dana Morgan was a very loyal and supportive friend throughout the latter years of her life.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at Holy Rosary Catholic Church. Interment will be held at the Holy Cross Cemetery in Butte. In lieu of flowers, please send donations in Ilene's honor to the Bozeman Senior Center at 807 N. Tracy Ave Bozeman, MT 59715.
