Irma (Huffine) Westfall Fritts, age 86, passed away at her home in Belgrade on Saturday, Aug. 11, 2007. She was born up Kelley Canyon near Bozeman to John D. and Lena (Rhear) Huffine. She always considered herself a "pioneer" to the Gallatin Valley, along with all the Huffine family.

Irma married Arthur M. Westfall on May 4, 1940. They had two daughters. He passed away in 1970.
She married Robert W. Fritts Jan. 22, 1972. He passed away in January 2000.
Irma worked for many years as a telephone operator and supervisor in the business office for Mountain Bell Telephone Co. She retired in 1975 after 25 years of service. She loved retirement, enjoying her flowers, bowling, hunting, snowmobiling, fishing, and was an avid golfer.
She was preceded in death by her parents; four half-brothers in childhood; half-brother, Daniel Huffine; granddaughter, Becky (Daren) Dean; and husbands, Arthur and Robert.
Survivors include her sister, Jackie Pilcher; daughters, Linda Dean and Sharon Williamson; grandchildren, Dana (John) Fraley, Diana (Mike) Egbert, Jinny Smith, Scott (Sandy) Williamson, Alisa (Tory) Bagaoisan, Cindy (Gary) Zipperian; 14 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at Sunset Memorial Park, Belgrade, at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16. The procession will depart from Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service at 10: 45 a.m.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-1942; or to a charity of choice.
