James "Jim" Huston passed away Tuesday, Nov. 18, 2008, at the VA Hospital at Fort Harrison, as a result of a stroke.

He was born in Anoka, Minn., on Jan. 15, 1942, to Guy and Lucille Huston. He was the oldest of seven children. He attended school in Anoka and enlisted in the Army, serving in Korea.
Jim attended college for a short time at St. Cloud State University in Minnesota. He worked in a variety of careers during his lifetime, most recently as a safety and recruiting manager for a trucking company, before retiring in May 2007.
Jim was preceded in death by his father, Guy Huston; and sister, Susan Day.
He is survived by his mother, Lucille Huston of Redding, Calif.; brothers, Ron (Chris) Huston of Anoka, Minn., and Tom (Pam) Huston of Corcoran, Minn.; sisters, Nancy (Rich) Chamberlain, Linda (Curt) Lawhon of Redding, Calif., and Peggy (Russ) Weaver of Shoreview, Minn. He is also survived by his four children: Jennifer (Jean) Polzin, Julie (Jeff) Sandquist of Cambridge, Minn., Sarah Huston and Matt Huston of Helena; five grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Military services will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Nov. 21, at Fort Harrison Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at the Shrine Consistory Center, 15 N. Jackson, Helena, with a reception to follow.
Memorials in Jim's name are suggested to a charity of the donor's choice.
