James P. Meierotto (1956 - 2007)

Obituary
The Guest Book is expired.

James Patrick Meierotto, 51, died peacefully Sept. 12, 2007, of an unexpected heart problem.

Jim was born Jan. 19, 1956, in Springfield, Mo., to James Joseph and Alberta Leona Meierotto. When he was a baby they moved to North Hollywood, Calif. Jim was big brother to his sisters and brother. Later they all lived in Arleta in the San Fernando Valley.

In 1972, Jim and his family moved to southwest Missouri near the area his parents were raised. In 1986, Jim moved to Montana where he so loved the natural beauty.

Jim was a talented, good-natured person with a kind spirit. He was quite the computer expert who loved building and restoring systems, and also enjoyed building and maintaining mountain bikes, hobby planes and other electronics.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father.

Jim is survived by his beloved friend and longtime comrade, Lisa Rose Gillette of Bozeman. Also surviving are his sister, Cynthia Anne "Cyndi" Britain, nephew, Joseph Ray Brown, great-nephew, Justan Ray Brown, and niece, LeAnn Rochelle Britain of Springfield, Mo.; his brother, Joseph Kelly Meierotto, sister-in-law, Kathy, and nephews, James Patrick, Joshua David and Kristopher Kelly of Hawk Point, Mo.; and sister, Alberta Jane Boyd and brother-in-law, Bill of Bozeman. Other relatives include three aunts and many dear cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 20, at Dokken-Nelson Sunset Chapel.

It is with great sadness we say goodbye. Jimmy was a Shooting Star; his sudden departure was so very unexpected, yet he has blazed a brilliant trail into our hearts. Indeed, he will be dearly missed.

Arrangements are in the care of Dokken-Nelson Funeral Service.
