Jayne Godbe Winegardner passed away Monday, March 17, 2008.

Jayne Godbe Winegardner was born in Denver on Aug. 20, 1928, to Norman and Bess Godbe. She attended East High and the University of Colorado.

Jayne was a flight attendant for United Airlines and a Kappa Kappa Gamma pledge when she met Al Winegardner, who was a hasher from the Phi Gam house. They were married on Dec. 19, 1951, and they moved immediately to Billings, where they raised their family and made a wide circle of friends.

Jayne was very active in her community as a member of the Altar Guild at St. Luke's and the Junior League, and she volunteered on the local and national levels of the Mental Health Association.

Jayne was always young at heart and loved her family, friends and shelties.

Jayne is survived by her husband of 56 years, Al; children Jill of Watsonville, Calif., Kurt (Melinda) of Bozeman, and Jon (Kathleen) of Boulder, Colo.; and her grandchildren, Jake (Kurt and Melinda), Christopher (Ann), and Sam and Eli (Jon and Kathleen).

Her parents and her daughter, Ann, preceded her in death.

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 22, at St. Luke's Episcopal Church, corner of Second Avenue North and 33rd Street.
