Her life had many obstacles such as being born deaf or unable to attend public schools. She learned early the importance of hard work. She maintained high moral values throughout her life. Dotty loved to dance, and in her younger years, attended dances at local senior centers. She enjoyed country music and dancing the Charleston. Her sister, Merlie, and she would spend time dancing to the music of their father's accordion.
The greatest moment in her life was the day her daughter, Gail Ann, was born. Dotty personified motherly love and taught and lived by a set of values few of us can compare to.
She was employed by a few local businesses doing domestic jobs. She was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army donating her pay to her grandkids. She felt a sense of pride at being able to help some less fortunate child have a better Christmas. Dotty was a righteous woman with incredible strength who never gave up or swayed from her values or lowered her integrity.
Dotty is survived by her daughter, Gail Ann (David) Robinson Dobson of Billings, Montana; grandchildren, Richelle Richeson of Buffalo, New York, Amanda Dobson of Billings, Montana, Matthew Dobson of Bozeman, Montana, Leevi Dobson of Billings, Montana, Mykaila Dobson, of Billings, Montana, Helen (Brandon) Lawhon Cole of Bozeman, Montana, Stephanie Lawhon Whetcome of Three Forks, Montana; her special friend, Ann Robinson; seven great-grandchildren of Billings, Montana, and five step-grandchildren in the Bozeman area; brother, William (Paulette) David Robinson of Bozeman, Montana; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
