Joe Nelson Bolin went home to heaven with his family at his side, Friday, May 29, 2015, to the arms of his Heavenly Father and passed loved ones.

Joe was born July 28, 1937, to George and Blanche Bolin in Hickory Grove, South Carolina, the oldest of four children.

Joe will always be remembered as being a kind and loving husband, father, Papa and friend.

Joe had baseball in his blood. He played in the minor leagues for one year as the catcher for the Baltimore Orioles. Though baseball is where his heart was, he moved on to work for the Ford Motor Company in Deer Born, Michigan, as a pipefitter. After 15 years, he retired from Ford and was called into ministry, starting churches in Montana, Wyoming and South Dakota. He pastored at Deer Lodge Baptist and Four Corners Baptist Church. While his heart was being a pastor, he also spent fifty plus years in the plumbing trade as a master plumber.

On Oct. 22, 1980, Joe married Alice Burke of Rozet, Wyoming; Joe had six children whom he was extremely devoted to.

Joe was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Bennie Bolin; and sister, Peggy Lou. He is survived by his wife of 34 years; his six children, Randy (Marsha), Sharon (Tim), Ryan, Joe N. Bolin II (Amanda), Mark (Jennifer), and Heather Bolin; twelve grandchildren, Ryan, Matt, Micah, Nate, Rylie, Blade, Lilly, Isabella, Cooper, Hailey, Nolan, and Gabe; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother, Bobby (Irene) Bolin; brother-in-law, J.K. Moore; sister-in-law, Peggy Cook; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A family memorial service was held at Heroes Park on Saturday, May 30, 2015. A public memorial service will be announced in the next few days.
