Jon C. Portzen passed into his new journey in his beloved Montana on Sept. 22, 2008, after a very long courageous battle with cystic fibrosis and polycystic kidney disease.
The Guest Book is expired.
He was an inspiration to all who met him. He was called "Hero" by a very special uncle.
He is survived by his mother, Doloris Weishoff of Livingston; brother, Philip Portzen (Dawn Portzen) of Livingston; Blackie and Kara, his constant companions; and uncles, aunts, cousins and some very special friends.
Jon was born April 17, 1968, in Portage, Wis. He went on many adventures with his brother, and he and his dad spent many hours fishing on the Big Slough and on the lakes of Northern Wisconsin. His passion was fishing and he had hoped to fish the Yellowstone again. He loved music - all types of music.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
Special thanks from the family to Dr. McGuire at the Billings Clinic, Evergreen Bozeman, Rocky Mountain Hospice, doctors and staff at UW Hospital of Wisconsin; and to special friends, Mr. and Mrs. Ron Buzzell, Mr. and Mrs. Jamie Jessup and their family, Scotty Mathews, and Heather Huston.
He will be missed by all those who had the privilege of meeting him.
