Joyce M. (English) Baker, 75, of Stanford, a rancher and farmer, died Tuesday, May 6, 2008, of pancreatic cancer at her daughter's home in Great Falls.

Her memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Trinity Lutheran MSLC in Stanford. Cremation will take place under the direction of O'Connor Funeral Home.
Survivors include her husband, Ray Baker of Great Falls; daughters, Joy (Tim) Badertscher of Douglas, Wyo., Marilyn (Jerry) Brown of Great Falls, and Beverly Fabricius of Bozeman; son, Joe Baker of Stanford; sisters, Jayne (Gene) Griffith of Loganville, Ga., Rosalie English of Roy; brother, Dean (Jerrie) Baker of Lewistown; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Jim English; her parents, James and Marguerite English; and a special nephew, Miles Griffith.
Joyce was born Aug. 7, 1932, in Huntingdon, Quebec, Canada. She grew up and attended schools in Great Falls, graduating from Great Falls High School in 1950.
Joyce married Ray Baker in 1955 in Lewistown, and she lived with Ray as his partner on the farm and ranch.
She was active in the Trinity Lutheran Church in Stanford, the American Legion Auxiliary, Montana Farm Bureau, and the Republican Party.
Joyce enjoyed gardening and crafting.
