Juelene married her best friend, Loren Collins on Dec. 23, 1973. They moved to Montana in 1974 where they worked together as a team for years in the stove business and raised three children.
At her core, Juelene was a devoted wife and a loving and gracious mother, a true friend to many, but her favorite role though, was being grandma. Many sugar cookies were baked and decorated in her kitchen and endless hours were spent reading books to the grandkids over the years. She treasured those kiddos so much! She loved taking pictures and the family will continue to be blessed for years to come with the amazing library of photo albums she created. Some of her other favorites worth mentioning would have to be chocolate, dogs, football, pinochle, praise and worship music and cleaning fish (not really).
Most of all, her greatest gift was how she lived and guided all of her children to love God and know Jesus Christ as their Savior. She was such an inspiration, had such a humble heart and we are so thankful for her. She is absent from us but present with the Lord.
Juelene was preceded in death by her parents, Jewell and Eleonora Burgess; her little sister, Christine Burgess; and her big brother, Larry Burgess.
She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Loren Collins; her daughter, Kim Konzak; sons, Troy Collins and Tyler (Tamara) Collins; 10 grandbabies; one great-grand baby; and her dog, Panda (Monium). Juelene is also survived by her brother, Ronald Burgess; her sister-in-law, Patsy Burgess; her brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Lois Collins and many dear and close friends.
The family wishes to express deep gratitude to her and Loren's life long friends, Dan and Robin Smith, her church family at Canyon View Church, and Mindy for their love and support during this time and also the staff at Marcus Daly Hospice for their outstanding care and kindness.
A celebration memorial for family and friends will be held at the Canyon View Church on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at 11 a.m. with a reception following in the Daly-Leach Chapel community room. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made in Juelene's name to Marcus Daly Hospice, 1200 Westwood Drive, Hamilton, MT 59840. Condolences may be left for the family at www.dalyleachchapel.com.
