KATHLEEN LYNN POOL
Kathleen Lynn Pool, devout follower of Jesus, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Riverside, Calif., and went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 2, 2011.
She was born a triplet on Oct. 29, 1952, in Bozeman.
Kathy spent the last 12 years teaching first graders with great joy at Riverside Christian Day School. She was a member of Hope Community Church in Riverside where she enjoyed teaching children in Sunday School and Vacation Bible School. She will always be remembered for her sweet smile and gentleness with others.
Kathy is survived by her loving husband of almost 38 years, Cornelius Pool; daughters Karianne (Scott) Kraetsch of San Diego, Calif., Janessa (Stephen) Butz of Phoenix, Ariz.,; sons Jeremy (Grace) Pool of Grand Rapids, Mich., Kendal (Katie) Pool of Riverside, Calif.; and four grandchildren Benjamen, Andy, Dana and Karis. She is also survived by her mother, Margaret Emmelkamp; sister Eldean (Len) Kamp and four brothers: Truman (Vivian) Emmelkamp, Larry (Helen) Emmelkamp, Keith (Karen) Emmelkamp and Ken (Ardene) Emmelkamp as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, Andrew Emmelkamp.
A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at The Grove Community Church, 19900 Grove Community Drive, Riverside, on Monday, May 9 at 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Kathy Pool can be made to Riverside Christian Day School, 3612 Arlington Avenue, Riverside, CA 92506. Funeral arrangements handled by Akes Family Funeral Home, 9695 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, CA 92503.
