L. Joyce Wolk, age 82, of Cloquet, Minn., passed away Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth, Minn. She was born Oct. 20, 1925, in Lewistown to Leander C. and Bernadine (Holt) Carpenter, and graduated from high school in Bozeman.

Joyce had worked as a waitress for Joe Huey's and the London House restaurants in Duluth and also for St. Mary's Hospital. After her retirement, she moved back to Bozeman. In 2002, she returned to Cloquet for elder care.
Joyce will be dearly remembered by her family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, John J. Wolk; her eldest daughter, Anola Ness; and four sisters.
Joyce is survived by four sons, Charles (Karen) Ness of Duluth, Minn., Gene Wolk of Perham, Minn., Jerry (Teresa Siem) Wolk of Cloquet, Minn., and Clarence (Sherri) Wolk-Ness of Chico, Calif.; three daughters, Charmaine (Brody) Conrey of Las Vegas, Nev., Kathleen (Stephen) Miles of San Diego, Calif., and Sonya (Pat) Fallang of Yuma, Ariz.; 24 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was Monday, Nov. 12, from noon until the 1 p.m. memorial service at Nelson Funeral Care in Cloquet, officiated by the Rev. Mike Fossen. Following the funeral a luncheon was held in the fellowship room. See their online guest book at www.legacy.com.
