Laurie Anne Reed, 45, of Belgrade passed away in Billings on Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, from natural causes. She was born April 30, 1964, in Wolf Point to Kenny and Patsy (Green) Laudato.

Following graduation from Bozeman High School she joined the United States Air Force. She did tours in England, California and Nevada. Following her discharge she lived in Nevada and Idaho prior to returning to Bozeman 10 years ago.

First and foremost she was a mom, raising Kaetlin and Jarhet. She volunteered for the Salvation Army and other community service groups. She also did some coaching with the Gallatin Valley Sharpshooters where her son Jarhet is a member. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and baking. She was an avid pet lover who, over the years, enjoyed cats, dogs, fish, guinea pigs, hamsters and lizards as pets. The greatest joy in her life was her family.

Laurie was preceded in death by her brother, Michael, and her grandparents.

She is survived by her parents, Kenny and Patsy Laudato of Bozeman; children, Kaetlin and Jarhet Reed of Belgrade; companion, Scott Swanson of Columbus; sisters, Debbie Just of Lakewood, Colo., and Monica King of Santee, Calif.; nieces and nephews, Jonathan Rubio, Aaliyah Just, Jessica King, and Rebecca King; many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 29, at Belgrade Christian Assembly in Belgrade.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Kaetlin and Jared Reed Educational Trust Fund, c/o First Security Bank, 208 E. Main St., Bozeman, MT 59715.
