Lois Marcheta (Coulston) Stuart passed away on Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, at Tucson (Ariz.) Medical Center Hospice Unit after a courageous struggle with COPD. She was 82.

Lois was born on July 8, 1924, in Bozeman to Sidney W. and Flora (Horner) Coulston. She attended school in Bozeman, graduating in 1942 from Gallatin County High School. After high school she worked as a key punch operator in an airplane plant in California during the war.
Lois then moved back to Bozeman and was working as a bank teller there when she met Arthur L. Stuart. They were married in Butte, Oct. 16, 1948. They continued to live in Bozeman, where they owned and operated Bozeman Electric and brought up their two sons, Gary and Sidney "Bo."
After Art's retirement they became snowbirds, finally settling in Tucson for the winters. After Art's death in June 1994, Lois began spending more time in Tucson, where she permanently settled in September 1999.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents and her beloved husband, Art.
She is survived by her brother, Sidney W. "Sonny" (Phylis) Coulston of Kearns, Utah, and their family; her sons, Gary (Marty) Stuart of Bozeman, and Bo (Maggie) Stuart of Clancy; two grandsons, Shawn Stuart of Palmer, Alaska, and Chase Stuart of Bozeman; two granddaughters, Ruth (Prescott) Wagner and Bethel (Sam) Wagner of Whitehall; seven great-grandchildren, Moriah, Morgan, Briona, and Joshua Wagner, and Rebecca, Isaac, and Tiffany Wagner of Whitehall; and a host of dear friends in Tucson, Bozeman, and scattered around the country.
A memorial service was held Saturday, March 10, in Tucson.
