Lois M. (Anderson) Undlin, 85, of Bozeman, Montana, passed away peacefully on Jan. 2, 2016 surrounded by her family. She is survived by her beloved husband, Charles (Chuck) T. Undlin and her four children, Sarah (Jeff) Cade of Bozeman, Mary Lee (Peter) Levitan of Portland, Oregon, Meg (Jay) Erickson of Whitefish, Montana, Tom (Mary) Undlin of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, Margaret (Jerry) Johnson of Bozeman, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois was born June 23, 1930 in Ames, Iowa, to Henry "Andy" and Marguerite Anderson, and grew up in Big Timber, Montana where her parents owned the Gamble store. She graduated from Sweet Grass County High School in 1948, and from St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minnesota with a home economics degree in 1952.
Lois and Chuck Undlin were married June 23, 1953 and moved to Rapid City, South Dakota in 1959. Lois was an active member in the Rapid City community where she lived for 51 years. In 2013, she and Chuck moved to Bozeman to be closer to family. Throughout her life, she was heavily involved with the Arts Council, the Rapid City Girls Club, Calvary Lutheran Church, PEO and many other organizations dedicated to improving the lives of other people.
She was a member of the Board of Trustees for Augustana College in the early 1980s. She enjoyed golfing, skiing, traveling, entertaining and most of all, spending time with her family. She had a positive attitude, a ready smile for everyone and a passionate love for family and friends. She will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.
Arrangements for a memorial service at a later date are pending. Memorial tributes may be made to Shepherd's Hand Free Clinic. The clinic was founded by Meg (Undlin) and Jay Erickson in 1995 and provides free medical and dental services for the underserved in the Flathead Valley Community.
